ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS!

Melody Kim is a Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor in Missouri and received her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the College of William and Mary. Melody works with children, teens, and adults and specializes in anxiety, OCD, depression, and body-focused repetitive behaviors.

With Melody, you’ll find a gentle and compassionate approach, creating a safe space where you can unburden your heart. Her therapy style blends Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), all focused on being authentic, empathetic, and empowering. As a second-generation Asian American, Melody also brings a culturally informed perspective to therapy.

While Melody is all about meeting you where you are in life, she is specifically trained in helping people shift their relationship with anxiety and OCD. This can include generalized anxiety, panic, social anxiety, and agoraphobia. She also works with different forms of OCD, such as contamination, just-right, harm, scrupulosity, and body dysmorphia, as well as body-focused repetitive behaviors like skin picking, hair pulling, and nail-biting. Over time, clients often feel more empowered to live in a way that aligns with their values rather than their fears.

In Melody’s words, therapy is…

Therapy is when we practice being lovingly honest with ourselves about our deepest thoughts, feelings, wants, and needs. It’s about inviting those parts of us to come to the surface and learning to hold them with compassion. It can be tough at times—letting go of what’s kept us feeling safe means stepping into the unknown. But it’s also a rewarding journey that helps us live more authentically, in tune with who we truly are and what matters most.

We might be a good match if…

  • you are looking for a safe, supportive space to unload your burdens

  • you are exploring your identity through a mix of roles and cultures

  • you want to change your relationship with anxiety, OCD, and depression
